Special educational needs assessment and review service
The special educational needs of the great majority of children should be met effectively within mainstream settings. In a small number of cases the authority will need to make a statutory assessment of special educational needs and then determine whether to issue a statement.
The SEN Assessment and Review Service is responsible for:- Carrying out the statutory assessment process
- Monitoring and reviewing statements of special educational needs
