Special Education Needs - Transport

A service for children and young people up to the age of 21

Some children/young people with special educational needs, physical disabilities or health related needs will require assistance with travel due to the nature and complexity of their disabilities and/or health and safety risks which might arise with public transport. In this instance, the Council will provide suitable travel assistance to such children/young people based on an assessment of individual need and subject to review.

The decision to provide transport is made by the SEN Assessment and Review Panel.
