Harrow Educational Psychology Service

Who we are

The Harrow Educational Psychology Service can offer advice if schools or families are having difficulty helping their child to progress. Our role is to assess the needs of these children and advise their parents / carers, schools or the Local Authority about the ways to support them with their development and learning.

  • We are Educational Psychologists
  • We have had at least six years of initial training which includes a first degree in psychology, further post graduate training and prior experience of working with children in a variety of settings.
  • We are members of the Health Professionals Council (HPC), recognised by the British Psychological Society and eligible for Chartered Psychologist status.
  • We use our knowledge and understanding of psychology to listen to concerns, share ideas and provide information on children and young people's learning, behaviour, social and emotional development.

Specialist Roles within the Service

  • Associate tutor for professional training for Educational Psychologists at University College London.
  • Specialist Educational Psychologist for raising resilience and the educational achievements of Children Looked After.
  • Early Years Co-ordination.
  • Development of approaches for children on the autistic spectrum.
