New system for electoral registration
The summer of 2014 saw the introduction of a new system for electoral registration in the UK called Individual Electoral Registration (IER), meaning that you will now need to register individually instead of by household.
What do I need to do?
If you are already on the Electoral Roll (electoral register) you will be automatically registered. In some cases you may need to provide additional information, for example, your national insurance number and date of birth, which will be checked to confirm whether you are eligible to vote. You will be sent a form to complete and return to us in these cases.
If you have not previously registered and wish to, or are a new resident of Harrow, you need to register to vote online by visiting the GOV.UK Register to Vote page.
Please note that your details will need to have been successfully confirmed by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) before you are entered onto the electoral register.
You can view the electoral register at any Harrow library.
