Roads – safety – pedestrian crossings
Maintenance
Harrow Council has responsibility for the maintenance of pedestrian crossings - except for signals on signal-controlled crossings - in Harrow. All roads are subject to an inspection on a periodic basis and our Highway Inspector reports any problems noted in that inspection for repair.
If you would like to report a fault with a pedestrian crossing - except for signals - please use our online road faults report form, on the right.
Do not use the form to report an emergency
If you need to report an emergency - in situations when there is an immediate danger or risk to life - dial 999.
If you consider the fault to be potentially dangerous and it needs to be urgently repaired call resident services. If in doubt, call us!
How to report a problem with signals
The signalling equipment on signal-controlled crossings, including Pelican, Puffin and Toucan crossings, is maintained by Transport for London (TfL). Any operational problems with signal-controlled crossings should therefore be reported to TfL's 24hr Street Faults Contact Centre.
TfL 24hr Street Faults
