Vehicle Crossovers

Vehicle crossovers can only be built on residential sites that meet the council's criteria.  If your application is approved the works will be carried out by a council approved contractor.

Stand alone crossovers

The application fee is £56.16 for the standard application or £111.28 for the fast track option (estimate carried out within 10 working days).  Payment is by cheque payable to 'London Borough of Harrow' which you must attach to the vehicle crossover application form and post to the council.  You can also fill in the vehicle crossover online form (which is available by clicking on the apply on line icon on the right hand side of this page), print out and send the form with the payment by post to the Council.

Note: the fee cannot be returned, even if your application is refused.

Footway reconstruction crossovers

If the Council is reconstructing the footway in your street, there is an opportunity to extend or apply for a new crossover.  This service is offered at a reduced rate. For further information, please contact our partners EnterpriseMouchel.

Trees
Note that highway trees will not be removed without the agreement of the Principal Landscape Architect and Arboricultural officer.

Please beware of persons posing as or impersonating council officers or council contractors and offering to carry out works for cash.

All council approved applications will be in writing and sent to you by post.  All payments must be paid to the Civic Centre before any construction work starts. It is an offence for any person to carry out work in the highway without the written consent of the council.
