Nappy recycling

Real nappies are no longer just an environmental and economic option, but a fashionable lifestyle choice. Day-glo colours, leopard skin prints, snug fitted styles and easy to use Velcro or popper fastenings show how the demand for real nappies has grown.

Grants are available to Harrow residents who are willing to convert to cotton nappies.

By using real nappies, you can save around £500 on the cost of keeping your baby in nappies and reduce the significant environmental impact that disposable nappies have on our local environment. Nearly 8 million disposable nappies are thrown away every day in the UK; 3 billion are landfilled every year and parts of a disposable nappy can take up to 500 years to break down.

Listed below is a table of entitlement, depending on your situation:
