School reorganisation to change the ages of transfer

Cabinet on 23 April 2009 approved the statutory proposals for school reorganisation.
Cabinet on 15 January 2009 received a report outlining the comments received and agreed to publish statutory notices.
19 June 2008 Cabinet Meeting Cabinet agreed to undertake a consultation on school reorganisation to change community schools with effect from September 2010.
11 October 2007 Cabinet Meeting Cabinet agreed its Strategic Approach to School Organisation and affirmed its commitment to implementing a change in the age of transfer from 12 to 11 years. Cabinet agreed that a stakeholder reference group be established, and agreed an amended amalgamation policy.
