School reorganisation to change the ages of transfer
Stakeholder Reference Group (SRG)
A representative Stakeholder Reference Group was established in February 2008, and has been considering the impacts on schools that would result from change to the ages of transfer. This group includes representative headteachers and governors from across the range of schools, elected members and trade union representatives.
Regular update notes are sent to headteachers and chairs of governors about the work of the SRG.
The progress of the work of the SRG was reported to June 2008 and January 2009 Cabinet.
The SRG continues to meet regularly.
