Suspensions and Dispensations

Before a parking suspension or dispensation is issued, a council officer must be satisfied that no reasonable alternatives for parking exist. To save time, please read the relevant pages of information on parking suspensions or dispensations before calling the parking management team.

There are strict criteria for when suspensions and dispensations can be issued and they are never issued for vehicles just to park more conveniently.

Dispensations and suspensions are available from 10am to 12 noon and from 2pm to 4pm at Harrow civic centre one-stop shop. We will accommodate requests outside these hours where staff are available.

If you do not obtain a dispensation or suspension of regulations for parking your vehicle during hours of enforcement, you will be eligible to receive a penalty charge notice.

In the event of a funeral where parking is likely to be problematic, please call the parking management team on the number above and we will endeavour to be helpful.

Liveried removal vehicles do not require a dispensation providing loading and unloading is taking place.  On the occassions where the vehicle has been hired by the owner/occupier a dispensation or other permit is required.
