Catering: free school meals

You may qualify for free school meals if: 

• Your child attends a Harrow school which takes part in the free school meals scheme. 
  
• Your child is between 5 and 18 and is attending school full time. 
  
• You receive one of the support payments listed below:- 
  • Income Support (IS)
  • Income Related Job Seekers Allowance (JSAIR) 
  • Income Related Employment Support Allowance (ESAIR) 
  • Pension Credit 
  • Support under Part VI of the Immigration and asylum Act 1999. 
  • Child Tax Credit (ensuring that your income is no more than £16,190.00). 
• A child who receives Income Support can also apply for free school meals themselves.

You will not be entitled to free school meals if you or your partner are receiving Working Tax Credit.

What if I'm a foster carer?

Foster carers cannot apply for free school meals as their foster funding is intended to include money for school meals.
