Support and information for governors

There are many organisations that provide information and support for governors.  The distance learning workbook for the National training Programme for New Governors includes a list of useful contacts on page 106. 

Governors termly newsletter

Each term we send a newsletter entitled "Harrow Governors' Bulletin" to every governor serving on schools that subscribe to the Governor Services Service Level Agreement. The aim is to keep governors up to date with local and national initiatives.

AHGB and NGA
There are local and national organisations that can support the work of governing bodies.

The Association of Harrow Governing Bodies (AHGB) is the association for all governing bodies of Local Authority (LA) maintained and Voluntary Aided schools in Harrow.

The National Governors' Association (NGA) is a national association that supports the work of governing bodies.
