Disputes with your landlord
A number of issues could lead to a dispute arising between you and your landlord. Some of the most common disputes are repairs, rent arrears, refunds of deposits and anti-social behaviour. In many cases it is often possible to use mediation to solve a dispute.
If a dispute has arisen it is important that both you and your landlord first seek legal advice on rights and responsibilities to make an informed decision on how to proceed.
Mediation from a third party can help resolve the dispute. We aim to try to resolve disputes between private landlords and their tenants. If you seek help and advice contact the Harrow Housing Advice Team.
If you are a council tenant and you are in dispute with us regarding a tenancy issue you can contact a number of independent organisations for advice.
