Our claim to fame
- Mrs Beeton, the original domestic goddess lived in Harrow at 2 Chandos Villas from 1856 - 1862. Hatchets restaurant in Hatch end is now located close to where her house once stood
- Reg Dwight alias Elton John was born on the 25 March 1947 and spent his childhood in Pinner
- Horatia Nelson, daughter of Lord Nelson and Lady Emma Hamilton, is buried in Pinner Parish old cemetery
- The fictional BBC series One Foot In The Grave starrin g Richard Wilson and Annette Crosbie centred around a retired Scottish couple living in Pinner in the 1990s
- Harrow School's famous Fourth Form Room provided the setting for magic lessons at Hogwarts in Harry Potter & the Philosopher's Stone
