Grass Cutting

The Council trims overhanging trees, cuts grass, removes weeds and prunes shrubs in public spaces on Council-owned land. This includes highways, verges, public open space, schools, parks, town centres and memorial gardens. We do not tend to privately owned land or properties/estates owned by bodies other than the Council.

The primary purpose of these services is to prevent danger and to maintain safety, rather than to preserve beauty. Please ensure that your requests relate to safety. For example, the Council will trim a tree that is overhanging a telephone line, but not one that is blocking the light. Please fill in the online form.
