Enforcement
The Private Sector Housing Enforcement Team is responsible for inspecting conditions in private rented accommodation.
Unfit properties, overcrowding and poor maintenance are targeted through enforcement and education.
The Team aims are to improve the poorest housing within the private rented sector. We will address matters, which affect the health and safety and well being of those families and individuals who have least control over the standard of their living accommodation. We achieve this by working with the Landlords/Managing Agents and if necessary using our enforcement powers to serve legal notices.
