Empty Homes
Private Housing and Empty Properties
Harrow Council has an empty homes strategy with a commitment to tackle and reduce the number long term empty properties in the borough.
Empty homes are a wasted asset and an attraction for anti social behaviour such as vandalism, squatters, arson and graffiti. They are a concern to local neighbourhoods and communities as they cause various environmental issues such as fly tipping and nest for vermin. It is therefore important that these properties are brought back into use. This page contains a number of useful links with further advice and information on bringing empty properties back into use.
