Pre-school Learning Alliance

The pre-school Learning Alliance is a leading national educational charity specialising in Early Years. It was founded in 1961 to offer support to people setting up and running pre-school groups.

Harrow is a sub-committee of the Pre-school Learning Alliance, the aims of which are to provide:

• Quality education and care for pre-school children
• The support of the children's families
  
• The creation of a developmentally appropriate curriculum to meet the needs of each individual child
  
• The sharing of information, resources and practical advice
  
• The personal development of adults involved in providing for children by means of community group
• Equal opportunities, for both children and adults
• Committed to inclusiveness

Membership of the Association offers the following benefits:

3. A monthly magazine for pre-school leaders, parents, staff and helpers
4. Development Workers and sub-committee support at local level for all kinds of pre-schools such as sessional (half-day) pre-schools, parent and toddler groups, extended hours and full daycare pre-schools, forces groups and family centres

6. An accreditation scheme which ensures recognition of high quality provision
