Electric vehicles and charging points
In 2009 the Mayor of London (Boris Johnson) published the Electric Vehicle Delivery Plan for London, aiming to increase the number of electric cars being used throughout London and create a network of publicaly accessible electric car charging points for these. The end goal is for London to be the electric vehicle capital of Europe.
The reason for the drive towards electric cars is that they are seen to be a vital part of helping to create a cleaner, more sustainable and energy efficient Harrow and London. Because of this Harrow Council is encouraging the use of electric vehicles. There are currently 16 electric car charging points within the Borough of Harrow that can be used by the public. For more information on these locations please see the Find tab.
Electric charging points throughout Harrow vary in required payments, a few require a one off payment and the majority require a subscription to Source London to use. See further details about the payments required at the individual charging points.
