Harrow Mental Health Day Services Review

We are planning changes to day services which will mean there will be impacts to services and staff. We need to change services so that they meet the needs of more people. We also need to reduce the amount we spend on mental health day services as a result of the council receiving less money from the Government.
 
At the same time we are changing the way we provide services so that more people have personal budgets. A personal budget is a sum of money that we give to people who are assessed as being eligible for support. They then use their budget to buy the support that is right for them. Giving people personal budgets may have an effect on the number of people who use day services as some people may choose to use their budget to buy something different that they feel is better suited to their particular needs.
