Religious content at civil partnership ceremonies
The civil partnerships Act 2004 prescribes that the formation of a civil partnership must be an entirely secular ceremony, with no religious content, wording or music. However, it may be possible to arrange a separate religious blessing ceremony after the formation ceremony, in a separate venue. This is a matter between the couple and the religious celebrant.
