Renewal of marriage vows

For couples renewing their vows

These ceremonies are for any married couples, wishing to renew their marriage vows, for example:

  • The ceremony could be the celebration of a special wedding anniversary.
  • If you were married abroad, you can renew your marriage vows in a ceremony for family and friends.
  • You may wish to celebrate your renewed commitment to one another following a period of strain in your relationship.

A renewal of marriage vows ceremony can be held anywhere, such as your private house or garden. This does not normally apply to marriage ceremonies.

A typical Renewal of Vows ceremony will contain:

  • An introduction and welcome
  • The acknowledgement of any children of the marriage
  • Readings by friends (eg the best man from their original wedding) or the couple themselves
  • Re-dedication of rings, or the giving of new rings or gifts
  • The signing of the commemorative certificate
  • Closing words

The ceremony will last approximately 15-30 minutes, and can be personalised very much to your own individual requirements. Ceremonies can take place at the register office, or at any of our venues for marriage. We will also come and deliver a ceremony at your private house (subject to preliminary inspection.) The fees we charge are as shown on our separate price list.

The ceremony is designed to be a pleasant and memorable occasion but it does not have any legal status.

Please see table of fees.
