What kind of support can I get through reablement?

Reablement support

Reablement Support is a wide term used to describe all the forms of care and support that are provided to maximise independent living.
A reablement worker will visit people in their own homes to give them help and support with a specific task, for example, help getting up and going to bed and/or help with bathing personal care needs, such as washing and getting dressed.
Reablement support can allow people to retain their independence in their own homes.
Reablement support is a service provided as part of a Reablement package. Our aim is to ensure that you will be able to live as independently as possible.
Our Reablement service is designed to give you the confidence to manage as many tasks as possible on your own.

Will I have to pay?
Support from our Reablement team, assessments and advice are offered at no cost to the individual receiving the service.
If you require ongoing support after Reablement, you may need to contribute towards the cost. You will be required to carry out a financial assessment which will determine if and how much you will pay for your on-going support.
