Supporting People - Floating Support

The Referral Gateway manages referrals to Floating Support Services in Harrow, which are funded through Supporting People.

Floating Support Providers deliver housing related support to vulnerable people living in Harrow.

Floating Support provides a service that promotes independence and improves quality of life through supporting people to manage their lives across all tenures.  

The service is offered to vulnerable people living in the borough who are finding it difficult to manage their home environment and who are finding it difficult to cope with living at home.

The support offered includes:

• Setting up and maintaining a home and/or tenancy
• Managing finances, debt advice and applying for benefits
• Gaining access to other services
• Establishing social contacts and activities
• Supervising and monitoring of health, wellbeing and medication
• Advice, advocacy and emotional support
• Practical support and advice managing a home including repairs, adaptations and improvements.
• Assistance with cleaning, shopping, errand running and neighbour tasks
