Catering: free school meals

Reporting Changes for Free School Meals

What if my address changes?

If you change your address but your child remains in the same school, they can still receive free school meals. A utility bill, tenancy agreement or driving license can all be used as proof of your new address. Send a copy to the pupil support team along with a letter explaining that you have moved but still wish your child to get free school meals.

What if my child changes schools?

If your child changes schools the free school meals will continue. Ensuring that the new school is in Harrow the previous school will advise the new school when they send on your child's records.

If your child changes to an out of borough school you will be required to make a new application to the borough in which the new school comes under.

What if my circumstances change?

Your Entitlement to Free School Meals will continue whilst you are in receipt of the relevant benefits. Your entitlement will continue depending on any changes in your circumstances that may affect your eligibility, in which case you must inform pupil support within 21 days of your change of circumstances.

For any enquiries please contact Pupil Support.
