School clothing grants
Clothing Grants are available to parents/carers living within the London Borough of Harrow who receive one of the Support Payments listed below. Clothing Grants are payable to child(ren) who are due to start full time in their first year of a Harrow High School in Year Group 7 )
To be eligible for a Clothing Grant you must be receiving one of the following Support Payments:
- Income Support (IS)
- Income Related Job Seekers Allowance (JSAIR)
- Income Related Employment Support Allowance (ESAIR)
- Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999.
- Children who receive IS in their own right
- Child Tax Credit issued to you by HM Revenue and Customs, ensuring that your income is no more than £16,190.00 (as assessed by HM Revenue and Customs)
- Pension Credit (PC)
Only one Clothing Grant is allowed per child. Applications must be made by the end of the Summer term (31st July) in order to be processed in time for the start of the new academic year . You may apply at any time of year, please note the majority of payments are made in August in preparation for the start of the School Year in September.
The Clothing Grant is £25 and is paid by cheque to the parent/carer receiving the support payment. The grant must be used to buy uniform and footwear approved by the School.
