About Domestic Violence

Domestic Violence is actual or threatened physical, psychological, emotional, financial or sexual abuse or harassment and can involve a range of abusive behaviour which includes intimidation, humiliation, threats, domination and control. The definition used by Harrow Domestic Violence Forum (HDVF) is:

'Any incident of threatening behaviour, violence or abuse (psychological, physical, sexual, financial or emotional) between persons who are or have been intimate partners or family members, regardless of gender.'
