Draft Anti Social Behaviour Strategy

The Safer Harrow Management Group is committed to reducing anti social behaviour.

The Draft Anti Social Behaviour Strategy  sets out how partners will continue to work together, using a combination of communication, prevention, intervention, enforcement and rehabilitation to reduce and prevent behaviour, which has a negative effect on the quality of life within Harrow 's neighbourhoods.

Harrow 's aim is to reduce anti social behaviour by using activities which prevent individuals getting involved in ASB, intervening before they become persistent offenders, providing rehabilitation and improving resident's perceptions and confidence in how we deal with ASB and supporting victims and witnesses.

The Safer Harrow Management Group also has an ambition for individuals and neighbourhoods to have the confidence to report ASB and empower individuals to challenge unacceptable behaviour.

The draft Anti Social Behaviour strategy provides the framework to enable partners to continue to co-ordinate multi agency activity to counter anti social behaviour and focus on identified areas that will result in more effective joint working.

The Strategy is split into five themes:

  1. Target persistent offenders and those at risk (through Prevention, Intervention and Rehabilitation
  2. Prioritise action based on risk
  3. Provide a co-ordinated and systematic response to incidents of anti social behaviour
  4. Improve perceptions and build confidence
  5. Provide support through partnerships to victims and witnesses of anti social behaviour

Each theme is then broken into a list of things that need to be improved, maintained or put in place.
