Do I need to register for council tax?
If you have purchased a property in the London Borough of Harrow or you have taken out a tenancy agreement, you must contact the council tax office within twenty-one days.
You should do this even if you do not intend to move in straight away or you are going to rent the property out. The easiest way to do this is by using the online form.
If the property will be empty for a period of time, you may be entitltled to a discount or exemption. More information can be found on the discount and exemption pages. These must also be applied for within twenty-one days.
