Area Assessment

Latest News - CAA Abolished

The new government has announced that Comprehensive Area Assessment is to be abolished with immediate effect.  All work on updating the area assessment and organisational assessment has ceased and the Oneplace website will not be updated.  New scores for the use of resources assessment, the managing performance assessment and the overall organisational assessment will not be issued.

The Audit Commission will work with the government and other inspectorates on how to increase accountability for local public services through more transparency, richer data and less inspection.

The Harrow Strategic Partnership (HSP) prepared a self evaluation to help assess whether our local decision making and target setting is sound, robust, reasonable and based on good use of credible shared intelligence, including the involvement and engagement of our community.

The document looked at our current progress on delivering the local priorities and what is required to enable the partnership to continue to improve and deliver our future priorities.

The self evaluation was used by the Audit Commission to inform their assessment of Harrow as part of the area assessment element of the Comprehensive Area Assessment.

The self evaluation was developed through a diverse partnership working group, and advice and direction by the wider partnership at an HSP summit in May 2009.
