Harrow Compact 2009

The Harrow Compact is an agreement between the council, the Primary and Care Trust and the Police about how they will interact with the voluntary and community sector.

The Compact is made up of an overarching statement of principles and 5 codes of practice about:

• Black and Minority Ethnic communities, organisations and staff 
• Disability issues
• Consultation
• Volunteers
• Funding - not currently available

The first four Codes have recently been refreshed and updated as at August 2009.  The fifth is pending, awaiting for some work on the future of funding by the council and, potentially, other statutory bodies.
