Appeals for places at voluntary aided schools

Voluntary Aided (VA) schools are sometimes called 'faith' schools.

The admissions service does not deal with appeals for VA (Church and Jewish) schools. If you would like to appeal for a VA school, please call them direct.

18th April 2012 - Offer letters sent to parents and online applicants can view offer results.

21st May 2012 - Deadline for parents to return appeal papers, detailing grounds of appeal.

21st June 2012 - Date of appeal hearing.

Any additional evidence must be submitted by 13th June 2012. Information submitted after this date may not be taken into account by the appeal panel.

Late Applications and In-Year Appeals will be heard within 30 school days of lodging the appeal.

Parents will be notified of date of appeal at least 10 days before appeal

22 June 2012 - Deadline for hearing appeal

Appeals for failed applications made outside the normal round will be heard in accordance with the School Admission Appeal Code 2011.
