PEP
The Personal Education Plan (PEP) focuses on improving the educational outcomes of children and young people who are looked after.
It calls on all the professionals involved, the 'Corporate Parents', to work together to provide encouragement and support. It is this kind of joined-up work that will make the difference to the child or young person.
This is the purpose and the importance of the Personal Education Plan, which is an integral part of the child's care plan.
It brings all the professionals together and co-ordinates their efforts into a single plan designed to meet the educational needs of children and young people who are looked after.
This guide has been produced to assist social workers in this task.
