Holiday Hijinks

Holiday Hijinks are fun sessions for children during holiday times in 2012. Each session has a theme from around the world.

Suitable for children aged 4-10 years, Wednesday 2pm-2.45pm.
Tickets are available in advance from the Museum, or on the day on a first come, first served basis. Children must be accompanied by an adult - café facilities are available next to the event.
£3.00 per child; £5.00 family ticket (for 2 siblings).

Holiday Hijinks sessions in 2012

15 February - China -Year Of The Dragon Designs
Design Chinese dragons and create colourful Chinese New Year pictures.

4 April - India - Ready With Rangoli
Create modern Rangoli patterns with sand, rice and lentils.

11 April - Norway - Writing In Runes
Make clay slabs with runes and other ancient symbols.

6 June - Great Britain - Patriotic Portraits
Use red, white and blue only, draw portraits of British sports men and women.

25 July - Ancient Greece - Ancient Coins
Design and create a new type of money.

1 August - Mexico - Aztec Headgear
Make feathery headdresses and eye masks.

8 August - Australia - Ab'Original' Art
Create Aztec designs use paint and other materials.

15 August - Africa - Safari Collage
Creating a crazy, new animal from parts of other wild beasts.

22 August - Hong Kong - Hungry Ghost Lanterns
Make a colourful lantern that can float in water.

31 October - USA - Face Your Fears: Halloween Masks
Design and make a scary mask.
