The Mayor of Harrow
Introduction
The Mayor is the first citizen of the borough and always has precedence in the borough unless royalty or the Lord Lieutenant is present.
The Mayor is elected annually at the Annual Council Meeting in May. There is also a Deputy Mayor who is elected at the same meeting. In the absence of the Mayor, the Deputy Mayor is given the same precedence.
The Mayor for the municipal year 2011/12 is Cllr Mrinal Choudhury and the Mayoress is Mrs Rama Choudhury.
The Deputy Mayor is Cllr Nizam Ismail and the Deputy Mayoress is Mrs Zahafaran Ismail.
