Notice of changes to Penalty Charge Notice charges

Following a determination by the London Councils Transport and Environment Committee, the Mayor of London and Secretary of State for Transport have approved the following additional parking charges to take effect in the London boroughs from the 15 April 2011.

The introduction of differential parking penalties introduced two levels of fine payable for a Penalty Charge Notice. As such, the charges issued within the London Borough of Harrow will change on the above date as follows:

Parking penalties at the higher rate will increase by £10 to:

• £110, reduced to £55 if paid within 14 days from the date of issue of the Penalty Charge Notice.

For parking penalties at the lower rate, these will remain the same:

• £60, reduced to £30 if paid within 14 days from the date of issue of the Penalty Charge Notice.

The following contraventions will also increase by £10:

Penalty for contraventions of bus lane regulations will become

• £130, reduced to £65 if paid within 14 days from the date of issue of the Penalty Charge Notice.

Penalty for a moving traffic contraventions will become

• £130, reduced to £65 if paid within 14 days from the date of issue of the Penalty Charge Notice.
