West Harrow area parking controls

Review 2011: What is happening?

Public consultation in the West Harrow area has recently finished, which formed part of a review of the new parking controls introduced in April 2010.

The public consultation was undertaken in three distinct areas.

  • Residents inside the existing controlled parking zone (CPZ) were asked if they wished to remain in the zone or not, or if they wished the hours of operation to be altered.
  • Residents outside the existing CPZ, but within the original West Harrow consultation area, were asked if they wished to join a CPZ.
  • Residents in the area around Whitmore School and in Honeybun Estate South were consulted in September/October 2010 to find out if they wished to become part of a CPZ.

The responses to the consultations were compiled and analysed, and a report prepared for the consideration by councillors on the Traffic & Road Safety Advisory Panel (TARSAP) at their meeting on 20 September 2011.

In addition to the general public consultations, the West Harrow Residents Group prepared their own revisions to the parking controls.  This proposal is also included in the report to TARSAP.
