Short Breaks for Disabled Children
Harrow Parents 4 Disabled Children
As a parent of a child with a disability or sensory impairment you know what services you need the most. You now have the opportunity to be part of shaping services for children and families of children with disabilities through your involvement in Aiming High.
Harrow Mencap has been awarded national funding to establish a Harrow-wide parents forum for parents of children with a disability or impairment. The forum will be a source of support and information for and between parents and a channel for regular communication between parents and the statutory authorities. This will enable you to have your say about short break and other services and facilities for families and childrent with disabilties or complex health needs and help shape new service developments. The parents' forum steering group meets monthly on a Friday morning and there are regular workshops throughout the year.
