Harrow's Joint Strategic Needs Assessment
What is happening in Harrow?
Harrow's first JSNA was published in November 2008. It was updated following engagement with a wide range of stakeholders. The refreshed version which we published in March 2010 identifies how local organisations have used the JSNA. It highlights the needs of groups within our community and states how organisations plan to address these needs. The JSNA also includes details of the anticipated outcomes. We have used this information to develop an action plan that we will update each year in order to monitor progress.
The White Paper Healthy lives, Healthy People December 2010 continues the commitment to the JSNA. It gives the GP consortia and local authorities, including the Director of Public Health an equal and explicit obligation to prepare the JSNA through the newly established local Health and Wellbeing Board.
The following documents should be read alongside the JSNA as this will help to provide a comprehensive and local overview:
- Harrow Vitality Profile 2009-10
- A Strategic Framework to Reduce Health Inequalities in Harrow 2010-2015 published by NHS Harrow.
