Harrow's Joint Strategic Needs Assessment
What is a JSNA?
The Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) is a national government requirement. Local authorities and Primary Care Trusts (PCTs) work in partnership with each other and with stakeholders to find out the needs of the local community.
The JSNA provides a range of information that can be used as a tool to help identify the health, well-being needs and inequalities of a local population.
The JSNA is a strategic set of documents. It contains a range of information for commissioners, planners and senior managers across statutory and partner organisations, to consider when looking at current and future service developments.
The JSNA information should help to ensure effective and targeted service provision across agencies.
