Breastfeeding

Breastfeeding is the healthiest way to feed your baby and has health benefits for you too. Experts recommend babies have only breast milk for the first six months. After that, they can have a combination of breast milk and other foods.

Breastfeeding support groups

These groups give guidance to new mums, helping to start and continue. They have a network of volunteers at Kenmore Park and Cedars children's centres

They promote breastfeeding in the community, working with healthcare professionals. They can offer multilingual support to service users.
