Local Government Pension Scheme

If you wish to leave the LGPS, you will be required to notify us in writing. You will only be entitled to a refund if you inform us within three months of your start date that you wish to opt out of the LGPS. For employees with more than three months service, any contributions you have paid in will be treated as a Deferred benefit, and cannot claim a refund.
