Stamp out race hate
Although incidences of race and faith hate crime in Harrow are relatively low, the level is still unacceptable and so the council wants to encourage residents, whether you are a victim or a witness to the offence to speak out and report it. Harrow Council is making it easier with the launch of 14 additional reporting centres throughout the borough bringing the total to 24.
The council is working in partnership with the Harrow Hate Crime Forum, the Police and community groups to end race and religious crime in borough.
The Harrow Hate Crime Forum comprises of representatives from a number of local community voluntary and statutory groups. The Forum concentrates on encouraging the reporting of race and religious hate crime incidents and also work with young people and the community to raise awareness and prevent repeat victimisation.
Whether you are a victim of or a witness to a race or religious hate crime, you don't have to suffer in silence. There are many ways to report the incident and there are agencies available to offer support.
