BID Update

Following extensive consultation with town centre businesses at both a local and national level, the BID vote will now be postponed for a year until July 2010.

The economic downturn has affected both private and public sector investment  and has  delayed future development proposals in the town centre.   It was therefore felt that in the current climate, it would be more prudent to delay the vote until such times as businesses start to feel more confident about the economic situation.  

The Shadow BID Board will continue to meet on a monthly basis and will review the decision at regular intervals over the coming months.  We will keep you posted on all developments as and when they occur.
